Carpet Of Flowers

At Hitsujiyama Park, Chichibu in Saitama, the "Shiba-zakura" or 'lawn cherry blossoms" blanket the hills with it's beautiful Moss-flox of pink and white flowers just like the Cherry Blossoms.
The area extends to about 16,500 square meters covered by several kinds of Shibazakura.

Found this video on youtube.

I think this is one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. Beautiful patchwork of flowers ...!

Palawan Subterranean River Leads 7 Wonders

The Philippines’ Subterranean River National Park in Palawan currently ranks first in the global voting for the New Seven Wonders of Nature competition, under the category forest, natural parks, and nature reserves.

The Subterranean River National Park has been consistently at the top spot as shown in the website of the New 7 Wonders. http://www.new7wonders.com/nature/en/liveranking/

The Park is said to be the world’s longest passable underground river, which measures 8.2 kilometers of winding stretch that passes through a cave with major formations of stalactites and stalagmites.

My family went to Palawan on a vacation. And this beautiful Underground River was in our tour list. We were fortunate to experience this paradise. It's definitely a must see place.

At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.
